Juan Madridejos Velasco and Luis Alberto Álvarez Moreno, Notaries in Barcelona, in relation to this website, state:

1. This website is purely and simply informative and seeks to bring knowledge of the increasingly broad legal framework closer to citizens.
2. We understand that as public officials we are essentially public servants, and that one of the primary mandates of the delegated notarial public function is to protect and promote preventive legal certainty. And we believe that the best way to contribute to preventive legal certainty is none other than to enhance complete, integral, truthful and transparent information about current legislation. This is the purpose of this website.
3. Thus, this website seeks to bring the notarial world closer to the public, whom we must serve, and aims to be a useful website for the public, providing free information on equal terms to citizens who need the notarial public service. In this way, we seek to strengthen the protection of the constitutional rights of the public, among others, articles 14, 139, 23, 27, 44 and 51 of the Spanish Constitution.
4. This website also seeks to guarantee the rational and efficient functioning of our delegated notarial public function and to promote the administrative principles of good functioning of Public Administrations, among others the principles of efficiency and effectiveness, publicity, rationality and public service in the delegated exercise of the notarial public administration. And with this, we intend to comply with mandates that we Notaries have as public servants, whether constitutional such as the important articles 9 and 103 of the Constitution, of the notarial system or the rest of the applicable legal framework (such as Law 40/2015 and its crucial article 3 or the Basic Statute of the Public Employee).
5. This website also seeks to promote accessibility of all citizens to public servants, providing free and quality legal knowledge, provided by public officials, to promote normative publicity in understandable terms, and to bring the legal framework closer to citizens in a transparent, clear and informed manner, with reliable and quality sources available to the citizen free of charge.
6. All the information provided on this website is informative and although it seeks to be adapted to current legislation, you should always consult with us or with a notary to verify your specific case and the applicable law. This website seeks to inform, but not to advise, which is a preliminary task to advising, and which notaries carry out by legal imperative, both free of charge by the body of Notaries.
7. We do not assume responsibility for errors or regulatory discrepancies in the information provided on this website, as we only seek to provide quality information free of charge, but the constant updating of content is an effort we try to carry out as far as it is compatible with the rest of our varied notarial functions.
